How To Order Flags

One popular function of the congressional office is to order flags for your constituents and have them flown over the capitol. If these no hurry for the flags, we can run the order and have the flags sent to the Architect of the Capitol, who will fly them. Or, if you need the flag fight away, you can walk down to the Stationary Store, purchase the flags and walk them over to the Architect directly.

If you want us to deliver the flags, you must sent us the following form filled out.

Download the Delivery Request Form (The section for flags is located in the upper third of the request form.)

Under the "Item Number" column, write in the corresponding item number and under "Quantity" write in the amount you wish to order. Not all flags need to be flown over the Capitol. If wish, we can send the flags directly to your office, bypassing the Architect. To have the flags sent directly to your office, DO NOT check the box marked "Deliver to Architect". If you do want the flags flown over the Capitol, check the box marked "Deliver to Architect: and at the bottom of the form, write "Flying Certificate" and how many certificates you will need. (Note* one flying certificate per flag flown over the capitol)

FLAGS FLOWN OVER THE CAPITOL

How can I have flags flown over the Capitol for presentation to constituents?

After purchasing flags and certificates from the Office Supply Service, B-217 Longworth House Office Building, bring them to the Architect’s Flag Office, Room HT-16, The Capitol, with a letter showing the names of the individuals for whom particular flags are to be flown. Certificates will be prepared confirming that the flags have flown over the Capitol, and we will notify you when they are ready for pickup. Constituents usually pay for the flags.
