SOFTWARE PURCHASES



OSM is responsible for software purchases that have a house site-license, "Big-Buy" items, and Network or "CMS" software packages. Please see list below for further details

"Offices may purchase off-the-shelf software, costing less than $350, from any vendor without the prior consultation of OSM. Such software must be procured as a result of an "arms length" marketplace transaction, unless the CAO has otherwise negotiated a site license agreement. Off-the-shelf software OVER $350 may NOT be purchased without PRIOR consultation of OSM AND the assigned TSR. HIR will maintain a list of supported software for which it will provide service and support. This software can be ordered by filling out an OSM Requisition Form. Please call x53994 or your OSM Counselor for questions regarding OSM Software purchases. Other miscellaneous software may be purchased through Office Supply Service or vouchered directly to finance if under $350.00.

ONCE OSM RECEIVES A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR SOFTWARE BEING INSTALLED BY THE VENDOR , THE USER OFFICE MUST CALL THE VENDOR TO ARRANGE A SCHEDULED TIME FOR INSTALLATION
Any CD or 3.5” diskettes listed for the above software may be acquired through OSS. Offices may also choose to get diskettes elsewhere and voucher them to the Finance office.
OFFICES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PURCHASE FROM THE SITE LICENSE PROGRAM.
BIG-BUY:
Based on the big buy contract with Intelligent Solutions, there are several Microsoft Office products available for purchase including:
Office 4.2, Office 7.0, .........................................Written request to OSM to obtain licenses
Access, FoxPro, Excel, ETC...
They are listed on the ISI Contract price sheet starting with CLIN #7000. Purchase prices for this software are included in the latest modification dated 8/8/96. Installation costs for these products are determined by the vendor. Offices should also consult with their TSR before purchasing to see if they are ordering the appropriate software. CD or 3.5” diskette disks, documentation for this software is ordered through OSS.
Please note: Office must order software license in order to order disks from OSS.
**LICENSES ARE CLASSIFIED AS PER PERSON/WORKSTATION**

Offices cannot acquire one license and use for more than one person/workstation.
