The House Recording Studio provides radio and television services to sitting Members of the House of Representatives to help convey information to constituents, the press and the public.
The Studio is equipped to record programs for radio and television transmission, the latter through video tape. All recordings are compatible with technical and production standards as set forth by the broadcasting industry. The equipment is permanently installed and the Studio does not offer mailing service. Audio and video tapes are available for purchase.
Services are provided by appointment. Members use of the Studio is a privileged matter between the Members and the Studio.
In addition to the basic recording services, the Studio offer facilities for satellite transmission of live or recorded television programs, telephone recordings, same-day telephone distribution of radio programs, preparation of Teleprompter scripts, transcriptions of recorded material, post production services on a time-available basis, and television makeup. The Studio also offers recommendations for production techniques, formats, sets, and clothing. Overall, the Studio offers Members all possible technical assistance in the production of their programs.
