Periodical Press Gallery Reporters

REPORTERS

How do I know a reporter really works for the publication they claim as an employer?

All Washington-based reporters (other than those who work for trade association, government, or affiliational publications) carry a Congressional press card issued by the Media Galleries. Any reporter seeking access to your office, press conferences, or Committee hearing should be asked to display their Congressional photo identification card. In addition, the Congressional Directory lists the office phone numbers for accredited news media. To verify their assignment, please call the printed phone number and not the phone number they gave verbally.

How do I find a list of the reporters accredited to the Periodical Press Gallery?

The Congressional Directory lists all reporters holding Congressional credentials. Current information can be obtained from the Gallery Office, H-304, The Capitol, x52941.
