TEAM BUILDING WITH THE MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a powerful tool for
providing insight into how people differ. Specifically, the MBTI
helps people understand how they gather information about the
world around them and how they make decisions about that
information. In addition, it provides insights into managerial
style, decision making approaches, strengths and weaknesses as a
member of a team, and how employees can be motivated effectively.
Finally, it makes clear that differences among people are natural
and valuable, that such differences are a source of creativity
and effectiveness in a work team, and that learning to
effectively manage such a creative team requires being sensitive
to differences in type.

PROMISES,
PROMISES !
This highly interactive, fast paced and fun group learning
experience is for as many as 40 participants at a time. During
the program, participants work in teams where they assume the
roles of countries in the United League of Nations. Team members
are elected politicians outfitted with
"resources"--food, wealth, environmental programs, and
scandals--to meet the promises made to their electorate. Some
promises are challenging to meet, others effortless. However,
time is limited and resources must be allotted judiciously. To
fulfill their obligations, teams must build alliances with other
countries and risk that some may be hostile to their intentions.
The power of the program emerges in the debriefing where
analogies with the real world are brought to the surface.
Promises, Promises ! is ultimately about needs, resources,
promises, and deadlines--the very challenges that face every
organization and each department within an organization.
Through Promises, Promises ! participants will achieve a shared
vision for:
increasing trust
sharing resources
forging productive relationships
improving customer service
communicating more effectively
Promises, Promises ! is an
outstanding learning experience and unique opportunity to meet
other CAO associates.
Course length: 4 hours
Course dates and time: To be determined
Who should attend: All CAO employees.
