OUTPLACEMENT SERVICES RESOURCE CENTER

The Outplacement Services Resource Center serves to provide individual and group outplacement and technical assistance as well as job search strategies and transitional techniques to separating employees of the House.

The following services are provided by the Resource Center:

• Individualized resume and cover letter assistance.
• Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (Personality Type Indicator) [Administer and Interpret].
• Career Anchors: Discovering Your Real Values [Administer and Interpret].
• Job Search Strategies and Transition Techniques.
• Individualized outplacement assistance.
• Access to benefits, career and crisis-intervention counseling.
• Information on upcoming events and workshops on job search assistance and career assessment.

• Listings of local schools, businesses, associations and local and federal government agencies for employment opportunities
• Listings of area employment agencies.
• Bibliography (and access to a browsing library) of job-search and career guidance books.
• Optional Application for Federal Employment (OF 612).
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) Workbook.
• Job Hotline Listing for federal and non-federal locations.
• Job Postings (public and private sector).
• Personal computers, priners and fax machine
• Photocopying
• Outgoing telephone lines for local area job hunting.
• Job-Search Packets which include information on:
