MISSION STATEMENT
The Office of Training provides the House employees continuous learning and improvement
opportunities through employee development, management development and organization
effectiveness. In addition the office provides an array of professional, career and self-enhancement
training.
OBJECTIVES
Implement a management development program to keep management at the cutting edge and to
prepare people for future management roles.
Implement and revise management and employee skills curriculum to support the new participative
quality-driven organizational culture.
Develop and deliver a curriculum to support the organization's drive to implement a quality
improvement process.
Establish an individual development plan (IDP) process to hold managers at all levels accountable
for keeping their workforce trained to be capable of quality performance.
Develop an online training information and administration system to enable all employees to access
their training records, develop individual training plans, register for training events and provide
feedback on training received.
