Office of the Associate Administrator
Mission Statement
The CAO Human Resources Office consists of Personnel and
Benefits, Policy and Administration, Employee Assistance,
Training, and the Office of Fair Employment Practices. The
Associate Administrator, Office of Human Resources (HR) is
responsible for the overall HR management of the U.S. House of
Representatives to include providing guidance to the CAO and
offices thereof, as well as Members and their staffs regarding
general, sensitive and confidential HR issues. The Associate
Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management and
supervision of those offices within the Office of the CAO, Office
of HR.
Objectives
* Develop House HR policies and initiatives and implement
policies upon the approval and/or authorization of the Committee
on House Oversight.
* Determine the need for, implement and assign special projects,
policy and procedural initiatives, studies, and reviews regarding
House HR issues.
* Issue formal guidance and technical advice concerning
established House HR policies and procedures to the CAO and
Senior Staff of the CAO, as well as Members and their staffs when
applicable.
* In his absence, represent the CAO with regard to HR matters in
meetings and staff conferences both within and outside the
offices of the CAO.
* Maintain a close working relationship with the CAO, Members,
Leadership, Committee on House Oversight, Sergeant at Arms and
the Clerk, as well as their senior level representatives.
* Implement and administer special projects as directed by the
CAO and/or the Committee on House Oversight.
