Job Summary:
The individual selected for this position provides 24-hour centralized telephone traffic operation to the U.S. Congress. Duties include answering of incoming calls, placing telephone calls and conference calls for Members of Congress and their staff, and providing directory assistance as necessary. This position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.

Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one year experience as a telephone operator is desired. Must possess good verbal skills and a pleasant demeanor. This position requires the highest level of tact, diplomacy and professional attitude. Incumbent must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule and, if necessary, work additional hours as directed.
