Job Summary:
Incumbent will serve as a technical resource in support of most functional aspects of distributed hardware and software and network operating systems. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise in configuration operation, software and hardware installation, integration, security, performance monitoring and capacity planning and related application software, e.g., E-Mail, groupware, distributed storage management, performance monitoring tools, automated operations, and Internet services. Incumbent will provide guidance to other personnel.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of three years experience with distributed platform hardware and software. UNIX systems administration experience in SunOS/Solaris and AIX (SCO is a plus). Expertise in UNIX security, networking and troubleshooting. Extensive knowledge of local area network and network operating systems in use by the House. A high degree of skill in installing, configuring, and integrating vendor supplied hardware and software. Ability to assist other project staff in resolving network-related problems. Experience in using a variety of communications software packages.
